Abstract |
This work was about knowledge management on medicine, medicinal herbs, history, background, lifestyles and beliefs of 14 Akha villages in Mae Fah Luang, Chiang Saen, Mae Chan, Muang and Mae Suay districts. The study findings revealed that the ethnic group implemented medicinal herbs with their indigenous beliefs and lifestyles. For instance, when there was a sickness without a known cause, medicinal herbs were used in conjunction with appeasement rituals of sacred entities. The work identified each medicinal herb, its properties and sources in both Akha and Thai.
