Abstract |
The study examined the management of a welfare system involving the temple activities for the underprivileged. The temple cooperates with the ProvincialNon-FormalEducationCenter in carrying out educational activities in accordance with the National Curriculums up to Mathayom 3. The underprivileged attending classes are mostly Shan laborers from Burma. They want to become more proficient and literate in Thai in order to obtain better career opportunities. The study recommended that the temple adjust the curriculums according to the vocational needs of the learners, so that they have more opportunities in the labor market and are more self-reliant in case they want to be self-employed and want to avoid exploitation from employers.
