Abstract |
The objectives of this research were to examine learning and administration processes, to experiment and improve the cultural and ecotourism management process suitable for the Hmong at Nam Kha-San Kuay village. It was revealed that the villagers had potential to manage cultural and ecotourism in regard to natural resources and environment, traditions and culture, tourist attractions, and local wisdom in terms of arts and crafts and medicinal herb processing. The village committee was in charge of community tourism by implementing the community readiness operation, tourist attraction development, product development, and public relations plans. The experiment was on organizing the ethnic New Year Festival and exploring bio-diversity in the Nam Yom Forest. The experiment results revealed that the community was able to learn the management processes, to increase the value and worthiness of their natural resources and traditions, and to participate in community activities that could lead to sustainabl development.
