Abstract |
This survey examines media exposure behavior, the need for media exploitation, and lifestyles of the Karen ethnic group at Kha Village, Ratchaburi Province. The data were collected by using 200 sets of questionnaire. It was found that the sample group watched television regularly, listened to the radio frequently, and talked to others occasionally. The duration of their media exposure was at least three hours. They liked to watch soap operas on television and listen to Dharma talks on the radio. The topic of their conversation with others was financial assistance. The Karen required media exploitation at the high level, for entertainment at 3.99 and for information and news at 3.85 level respectively.
