Abstract |
This work presented various aspects of traditional Black Tai houses in northern Vietnam and those in Mae Prachan Village, Tambon Wang Khrai, Tha Yang District, Petchaburi Province, from the past to the present and how they had changed over time. The investigation also covered beliefs related to house construction and area use. The author used cultural, socio-economic, and historical data to analyze the causes of change in house plans and styles of the villagers from the past to the present. Ancestors of the ethnic villagers migrated from Sip Song Chu Tai region in northern Vietnam.
