Abstract |
This work examined knowledge and behavior in consuming halal food. Halal food dictates that Muslims can eat it without violating Islamic principles. The food is also clean and qualified. Products with the halal symbol are globally recognized by Muslims that they are protected and guaranteed for consumption. In this investigation, the sample group consisted of 400 male and female Muslims, aged between 14 and 40 years, and residing in Bangkok. They were of working and learning ages with different education levels and incomes. The purposes of the study were to realize what their lifestyles were and whether and how their knowledge and behavior in halal food consumption were like.
