Abstract |
The researcher found that theHmong’s self-treatment begins with the symptom and examine the illness. In case of their unknown examining, they will advise their closed person within their social network. Their beliefs doesn’t relate with their self-treatment by opium only but also they may select many treatments for their illness (Page168). During the treatment, the patient’s behavior depends on the severe level of symptom and opium addiction before treatment. With low or moderate level, the patientwill be treated with opium occasionally. For non-opium patient, they will be monitored and treated by medicine. With severe addictive level, they will be treated in the provincial hospital immediately. For their relative, they will do the practices called Ua Neeb (Page 169).
