| Abstract |

The researcher found that 3 Tai Lue communities has eight different Khwan ceremonies divided into two types as the following details.
First type, it is for individual with six Khwan ceremonies divided into three phases
1) Khwan ceremony for social status such as novice-to-be, novice, newlyweds and leaving town for the employment.
2) Khwan ceremony for the sickness
3) Khwan ceremony for important villagers
Second type, it is for the animals and agriculture such as Water buffaloes and rice harvesting. (Page 142)
Its roles are for the fulfillment, encouragement, andassurance for their soul. It also bonds their relationship, unity and collaboration within the community. The ceremonyis socialization, value instilling and ethical behavior which implements to better life, inheritance and cultural stability. (Page 130-141, 145)
