Abstract |
The study focused on historical background of the Tai ethnic group in Yunnan Province, China, based on archeological, anthropological and historical documents. From the study, the author believed that the Tai were descendants of the ancient Yue residing in southern China. However, the Tai ethnic group did not migrate from the north, but had been living in the south for a long time.
