Abstract |
The thesis investigates community changes affecting Muslim women working in industrial factories since they were established in the community and nearby villages. Some of the impacts include pollution, social problems, e.g., adultery, and having less time for religious practices. Other changes were better living conditions and women having more decision-making and economic power because they were able to earn their own living.
