Abstract |
The cultural changes of the Chao Bon have been unique and suitable for their conventional society. However, when social conditions changed, various cultural aspects could no longer be maintained, obliging the ethnic group to find ways to adapt their culture to the new social environment. Other external factors contributing to the ethnic cultural changes included changed ecological system, interactions with outsiders, intermarriages, material progress, education, communication, transportation, and rapid development. These factors had influenced cultural adaptations of the ethnic group to become more similar to the general Isan culture.
