Abstract |
The black Tai is an independent, free-spirited and peace-loving ethnic group. They lead a simple life with a long historical background. The group has its own spoken and written language. The black Tai migrated into Thailand in several waves due to unrest and wars in their homelands. They have settled in 12 provinces around the country. Despite having assimilated into the mainstream culture, they have still strictly maintained their culture, traditions, rituals, and beliefs.
