Abstract |
There are three types of Hmong in Thailand: White, Black and Striped. They are so called due to the differences in their attire. Hmong believe in superstition and supernatural power. Ancestors’ spirits must be appeased. Rituals must be conducted when one falls sick. The Hmong originated in China and used to have their own kingdom. Hmong society is patriarchal. They grow rice, corn and opium.
