Abstract |
The book summarizes the Andaman Sea Pilot Project, Surin Archipelago, which is aimed at finding out alternative methods for sustainable development, so that the Moken culture and communities can be maintained in accordance with the conservation of the coastal environment where these sea nomads reside. The contents of the book cover the project activities as well as the origin, economic conditions, lifestyle, state of health, culture, beliefs, and the changing society of the Moken ethnic group.
