Abstract |
The article focuses on cultural contacts and changes among minority ethnic groups in Yunnan Province, China, with the case study of the Atsang and the De’ang. The Atsang language is classified under the Tibeto-Burman branch of the Sino-Tibetan Family, whereas De’ang has maintained their ethnic and cultural identity while experiencing cultural influences from other Tai groups, which have brought about changes in their societies.
