Abstract |
The Hmong are a major ethnic group in Thailand migrating from southern China. The ethnic group subsists on shifting agriculture, hunting and household industry. The family structure is of the extended type. The ethnic group believes in animism and rituals are conducted to appease spirits. It is believed that the “pli” resides in a human body. When the “pli” leaves the body without coming back, death occurs. The “pli” can be reborn, reflecting their belief in reincarnation.
