Abstract |
The book is about problems on spreading Christianity to the Karen at Ma Tao Village, Mae Sot District in Tak Province. The problems include the animistic beliefs of the ethnic group, patriarchal traditions that are problematic for female missionaries, old power or respectable elders who are also spiritual leaders, and remoteness and poverty.
