Abstract |
The research studies on educational process in cultural integration and Akha culture of Akha students in elementary school; Torfhan School, Ban Plaifa, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. In case of living culture, language, religion, art and society, there are some changes in attitude and students’ practices to Akha culture which is influenced from outside through the education, technology and urbanization. These impacts affect to their lives more than their parent’s generation. The Akha identity is more flexible among Akha ethnic group and Thai citizenship (P.232-239). However, the cultural integration in elementary school doesn’t replace the original Akha culture but redeem the Akha culture which is meaningless to their lives in nowadays. The cultural integration fulfill the student’s life more completely which is influenced from outside and still maintain their ethnic and solidarity among their community. (P.247-248)
