Abstract |
Parents’ modernity directly affected internal health locus of control and indirectly affected the hygiene behavior through the influence of the health locus of control. Nevertheless, it did not affect hygiene behavior through future orientation. In contrast, child rearing with love, support and reason directly influenced future orientation and indirectly influenced hygiene behavior through future orientation. However, it neither directly influenced internal health locus of control nor indirectly influenced hygiene behavior through the internal health locus of control. Additionally, the internal health locus of control and future orientation directly influenced hygiene behavior.
