Abstract |
The thesis investigates the maintenance of animistic beliefs by Christian Karens at Mae Ngan Luang Village, Tambon Pang Hin Fon, Mae Chaem District of Chiang Mai. They were originally animists before being converted to Christianity. Their animistic beliefs are still a part of their daily life, such as agriculture-related spirits, spirits in nature, and the use of spirits in healing sicknesses. The investigation also indicates factors and conditions for the maintenance of these beliefs.
