Abstract |
The study compares the forest resource management of the lowland Shan with that of the Pow Karen in Lamphun Province. The two groups integrate their conventional beliefs into their forest conservation efforts by dividing their community forests into sections according to their use. However, forest conservation regulations have been changed after outsiders encroached and collected wild products in their community forest.
