Abstract |
The study compares health care-related beliefs of 290 Muslims using medical services in four state hospitals in the four southern border provinces. They were interviewed about six aspects of their health care beliefs. They include perception of the risk of sickness, perception of the severity of sickness, perception of the benefits of public health services, perception of physical and mental obstacles, expenditure for public health services, and motivation for general public health. It is found that factors affecting their beliefs included age, gender, education, financial status, and being in/out patients.
