Abstract |
The report investigates methods that promote participation in public affairs of the Lahu ethnic group and tries out activities that promote their creativity and independence, so that the findings could be applied to promote public participation of other hilltribes with similar background. The investigation was conducted with the Lahu at Huay Nam Rin Village, Tambon Mae Chedi Mai, Wiang Papao District, Chiang Rai Province. The report covers general aspects of the village, its location, demographic structure, village history, migration, importance of migration leaders, village development at various periods, and the social system that leaders contribute to public participation.
