Abstract |
The report examined various ethnic aspects of the Mien, including its history, settlement, kinship system, administration, animistic beliefs, and important festivals. The ethnic group situated at Pang Phrik Village, Tambon Pha Chang Noi, Pong District, Phayao Province, was selected to investigate its resource management system, causes of illness, and its folk healthcare system that utilize both herbalists and shamans. Furthermore, changes of the folk healthcare system were also investigated.
