Abstract |
The study focuses on media and types of educational communication for the Moken Sea Gypsies in Surin Island National Park. The population was 134 residents from 36 households. The data were collected by participatory and non-participatory observation and semi-structured interview. It is found that the main medium was by word of mouth. Knowledge was transferred by observing and doing. The media types included interpersonal communication, communication from group to person, and communication from group to group.
