Abstract |
The article indicates that the patterns of the spread of community households in the various ethnic groups are in line with their cultural ideals. For instance, Hmong and Karen have different household ideals. Moreover, there is evidence that entering the labor and market system will make families more nuclear, like the Karen and Lua who reside in towns.
