Abstract |
The book focuses on conflicts and wars between Siam and present Thai governments and Muslims in the South. The author tries to convey the image of frustration borne by the Muslims who have been suppressed and brutally killed by state officers, and whose resources have been unfairly exploited during the wars and years of suspicion. The work is a representation of Muslim conscience being exposed to the outside world about the fate of the ethnic group and calls for Muslims to rise up against state suppression and define their own future. What is interesting about the book is that it is from the perspective of a real Muslim. The book is intended for Muslims in the South and is written in the Yawi language, so that the Muslims learn of their origin and historical background.
