Abstract |
Desirable aspects are related to an image of one’s own group while undesirable aspects are related to other groups. From a comparative investigation of four ethnic groups, it is found that the sample group has many desirable aspects of the native group. From the relative analysis, it is found that positive concepts are high relating the Chinese with trade and Americans with foreigners. The concept concerning the Hmong is at the crossroad. Social distance between Thais and Hmongs may cause conflicts and misunderstanding.
