Abstract |
The study focuses on patterns and factors of assimilation of cultures, beliefs, traditions, and lifestyles of Lao, Kui and Khmer residents at Koh Kaew community. The assimilation stems from the maintenance of one’s traditions and beliefs and the acceptance of those of other groups that are not against one’s own. The three groups also adjust their traditions and beliefs to those of one another, because they have a similar lifestyle background, carry out inter-ethnic marriage, and share the same lingua franca.
