Abstract |
The knowledge transfer about herbal medical treatments of the Tai Lue has been conducted through the socialization process by relatives, neighbors, monks, the elderly, and folk healers. Treatments with herbal plants and superstition have been practiced until now and they have been accepted by rural residents, particularly older generations. This is because herbal plants are cheap and easily available in their communities. Some are used in cooking. The treatments are less accepted among younger generations due to higher education levels and better knowledge of public health and health care. Nowadays, traditional medicines are used in combination Cwith modern medical practices.
