Abstract |
The factors contributing to the success of the Lue Textile Group include social hospitality toward one another in a rural society and a collective learning process involving management and administration with a sense of participation in the ownership of the business. Lue textile is based on expertise and local culture, which is suitable for being an alternative career. Besides income generation, textiles have revitalized a traditional ethnic handicraft, enabling producers to participate in the production process and to have more negotiating power. The craft can be developed and promoted to be a real occupation with steady income.
