Abstract |
The results of this study are as follows according to the population and the settlement, there are average 7.28 members in each Haw family, most of them aged between 14-54 years. There are 5.7 labours in each household. Most of the How migrated from Yunnan in China before 1967 and most of them have not received education, while some have completed elementary school. According to the economic and social conditions, the Haw prefer being farmers and labourers. Their additional occupations are also labourers and farmers. As to the annual household income, it is 35,022.77 Baht per a household and the average annual expense is 30,513.32 Baht per household. As for health and sanitation, it is found that most of the Haw are healthy and there are many facilities in many households. As for the land utilization, most of them use land for cultivating dry crops rather than fruits and the average cultivated land per household is 3.82 Rais. They rarely use agricultural technology. As for forest utilization, they use wood as firewood and fences. The Doi Tung development projects affects the Haw in many ways; economic and social, soil resources, water resources and forests. As for the basic structure development, the effects of tourism and cultural developments are occupied land, the number of labour in the household, group activities, additional occupations, and kinds of crops affect the increasing of household income, and finally, the changes in household income depend on the form of Haw land utilization.
