Abstract |
Winai studies the processes by which a Sgaw Karen community transforms cultural capital into symbolic power to resist state discourses concerning environmental protection and local knowledge. He contextualizes this process as part of the broader political struggle over the ethnic identity of the Sgaw Karen.
