The research is to study the ethical issues appearing in Thai Moslems’ folktales in Amphoe Chana, Songkhla Province. It reflects the way of life and the ethical issues which are self-benefits: knowledge, patience, conscientiousness at work, reasoning and diligence; and the benefits of others: honesty, human relationships, making sacrifice, reliabilities, and justice. From the 116 folktales collected, they can be classified as the explaining tales (there are 60 tales: explaining names of places, about nature, and getting clues from true incidents), the entertaining tales (there are 77 tales: supernatural power and imitating of life). Further more, these tales are concerned with social, economic, educational, occupational, administrative, traditional and transportation issues. All issues reflected in the folktales accord with Thai Moslems way of life from the past until now.
