Abstract |
The meaning of the dances have always changed. It depends on social life and the thoughts of the people at that time. Phuthai dance existing at the present has been continually organized, improved and created so the people in the different classes can be tied together in many forms such as the relationship between the dancers and the trainers and the interdependence among the dancers. The dances can also reflect the values that the society required and admired, in the mean time, some values are criticized and denied. Furthermore, it is an indicator of the changes in the relationship of many groups. The dances in Renu Nakhon society have revealed the continuing dynamic as well as reflecting a portrait of the people life like a play which is alternately smooth and contradictory.
