Abstract |
Akha society is a matriarcal society because women are mothers of descendants, In Akha society, sexual relationships very relaxed; it depends on the willing. The social and economic roles of Akha women differ in each range of age. There are 5 different social statuses: the status of Akha girls, the status of Akha young women, the status of widows, the status of daughters in law and the status of head of the households’ wives. The reasons for these different social and economic roles in each status are factors of culture, traditions, beliefs, maturity and different individual social status.
