Abstract |
Sustainable agriculture is the main livelihood of the Akha tribe in Mae Suay District. Plant cultivation and livestock are focused on diversity. Surpluses are shared with neighbors or sold to earn extra income. Self-sufficiency agriculture is the main practice. However, the future trend looks bleak because the young generation is not interested in agriculture. Furthermore, they reside in a national forest reserve, making it impossible to expand agricultural land. In addition, there is a lack of promotion from concerned state agencies.
