Abstract |
The report investigates the risk factors related to the sickness and death of Karen children and infants in the region. It is found that there are two types of risk factors. Direct risk factors include the health practices of mothers and other family members, nutrition and immunization. Indirect risk factors are socio-economic conditions, culture, beliefs, attitudes, and access to healthcare services (p. 3).
