Abstract |
This article is to analysis an event when a group of Kareni attacks and fights with Thai border police officers at Ban Mai Chanta on November 9th, 1992. It is pointed out that the government’s official show the government’s power with contradictory action against the Karen traditional belief and culture, hermitry doctrine, so the Kareni are outraged and this leads to the encounter as the previous farmers riot.
