Abstract |
The study of Tai Lue oral narratives focuses on the relationship between memory and creativity by comparing the Tai Lue oral narrative processes with those of other Tai dialects. The data were from two narrators of different ages. It is found that their memories and creativity are similar as they expressed in their chanting structures in terms of replicated words and cohesive devices. The chanting of the older narrator is lexically arranged more clearly and the storylines are more logical.
