Abstract |
The Hmong’s migration across the border from Laos into Thailand at Huay Nam Khao village was a long-term result of the colonization of Europeans and the formation of modern nation states in this region, which were followed by political conflicts during the Cold War anddue to globalization. This research thus presents historical as well as political contexts and points to the influence of globalization on the migration of the Lao Hmong to Huay Nam Khao village in Phetchabun province, Tham Krabok Hmong community in Saraburi province, and to Nong Khai province.
