Abstract |
Karen communities in the northern region were affected by the state policy on the declaration of national park areas. The policy affected the crop rotation which had been the way of life of the ethnic group, resulting in the reduction of the crop rotation duration or plantation of more cash crops. More communities in each area had formed into groups in order to demand from and fight the state sector.
