Abstract |
There are 2 factors of the refuge of Hmong to Thailand. The first one is the political refuge which can be divided into 2 phrases: phrase 1: the refuge from ballets in China in approximately 2400 B.E.; phrase 2: the political refuge from Communism Lao in 2518 B.E. The second one is the social factor-the government’s policy of developing and assisting the tribemen has affected their ways of life because they want to be granted Thai citizenship and live in Thailand, so they require the identification card. Furthermore, they need better quality of life, but the merchants from the lowland always force the price of the agricultural products down as well as they need a car, a new house and a luxurious life, so they become methamphetamine trafficking. This affects the political security and the international security. (p. 91-93)
