Abstract |
The economic growth in the province brought about labor migration. The first group were Thais from various regions. Transnational migrant workers from Myanmar came later and they had economic interactions through factory society. Those in the farming sector did not form into groups, making the two groups interact less. Adaptation to Thai society was connected to their ethnicity via cultural activities. Cultural values were imparted into children via both formal and informal education systems. This indicated that co-habitation of ethnic communities was related in different dimensions. It was a social phenomenon that has chaged the cultural landscape of the province.
