Abstract |
This work is about the Hmong, Phu Tai, Lao Song and Chao Lay ethnic minority groups who have been subject to the myth of other ethnic groups that view them negatively. For instance, the Hmong are viewed as forest encroachers or Communists. However, the ethnic group have sometimes responded by being forest conservationists or forest fire preventers. Myth is a view outsiders have toward ethnic groups, bringing about a bias to or maginalization of minority ethnic groups. Articles in this work were based on academic seminars, which were expected to be beneficial to research and studies on ethnic groups in order to eliminate myth due to bias and ignorance toward them.
