Abstract |
Drug abuse in the communities on the highland becomes a significant problem. In the last 10 years, heroine has replaced opium, but the heroine is different to the opium because it is expanded. The drug abuse is increased among the adolescents and the labours, so it affects the families and the communities. This research shows the drug abuse related to the socio-economic changes under many development projects. The communities under these projects try to mange and solve the drug abuse, but there is a few that is successful and becomes anti-drug villages. However, the drug addicts are still in most villages. The solutions of this problem are distinctive in each village and related to various factors such as economy, society, culture, internal networks in each village. (p.1)
