Abstract |
This discussion on the Mon in Siam covers several issues. However, the essence of the research was to convey broader historical development of the peoples in Southeast Asia. This was particularly so in Siam, which had been made up of various tribes before being developed and changed into Thailand by the P. Phibunsongkhram government. Another book was to introduce, “Mon women, power and royal courts”, illustrating power relationship and the network creation of Mon women in the Thai royal courts.
