| Abstract |
|
The Mons’spiritual traditionsare an aspect of local wisdom based on the belief in ancestral spirits. When a family member fell ill, relatives consulted a shaman whether or not the illness was caused by the spirits. In this case, a ritual was conducted by a medium in an attempt to heal the illness. The ritual is considered a type of folk medicine anda social capital. A conservation guideline was that local administrative organizations should perceive the value of such wisdoms by constructing public relations media and community curriculums.
