Abstract |
This article is to study effects of markets on Karen communities and to point out technological changes, social organization and ideology of the Karen community at Ban Hong, Chiang Mai province. These changes are caused by the relation between the market and economic change, from internal economic system based on the cooperation, exchange and helping each other in matrinal clan which is more important to be external economic which is trading with the ones who are not the relative or the Karen.
