Abstract |
It is to study belief and ritual of paying respect to a sacred tree-ntoo xeeb tree- in the present social contexts. The Hmong in Mae Sa Mai village redefinites the traditional belief to be a toll of forest conservation around the community. An idea of forests and tree of the lowlanders like forests ordination or trees ordination is adapted with the Hmong traditional belief and ritual.
